CO2レーザーは、ほくろやイボの除去に非常に有効な治療法の一つです。このレーザーは、二酸化炭素（CO2）レーザーと呼ばれ、皮膚のターゲット組織に強力なレーザー光を照射して、その部位の水分に吸収され、瞬間的に水蒸気化することで、組織を切除または蒸散します。以下に、CO2レーザーのメカニズムやほくろ・イボ除去の効果について説明します。
（１）CO2レーザーのメカニズム
①レーザー光の吸収:
CO2レーザーは、波長10,600nmのレーザーを発し、主に皮膚の水分に吸収される特性を持っています。人間の皮膚は水分を多く含んでおり、レーザー光が水分に吸収されると、組織の温度が急上昇して蒸散します。このプロセスにより、皮膚の異常な組織（ほくろやイボ）が取り除かれます。

The CO2 laser is one of the most effective treatments for removing moles and warts. This laser, known as a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser, emits a powerful laser beam that targets the tissue, which is absorbed by the moisture in the skin. This process vaporizes the water content in the targeted area, allowing the tissue to be cut or vaporized. Below, I’ll explain the mechanism of the CO2 laser and how it helps remove moles and warts.
(1) Mechanism of the CO2 Laser
① Absorption of Laser Light:
CO2 lasers emit a wavelength of 10,600 nm, which is primarily absorbed by the moisture in the skin. Since human skin contains a lot of water, the laser is absorbed by the moisture, causing the tissue temperature to rise rapidly and vaporize. This process helps remove abnormal skin tissues like moles and warts.
② Vaporization and Excision:
CO2 lasers can precisely vaporize the skin tissue within a targeted area, minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissues while effectively removing moles or warts. After vaporization or excision, the skin becomes smooth.
③ Minimization of Bleeding:
The energy from the CO2 laser simultaneously coagulates blood vessels, significantly reducing bleeding during the procedure. This allows for a cleaner treatment process and a faster recovery.
